How to create recurring transactions
Budgie provides a versatile platform for setting up recurring transactions, catering to both simple and intricate schedules. It`s important to note that only expenses, incomes, and deposits can be set as recurring transactions.
You should know!
Recurring transactions must be designated as such during their initial creation. Should you need to alter a transaction to make it recurring, you`ll have to delete it and recreate it with the desired recurrence settings.
When creating a transaction, you can specify it as recurring by following these steps:
Navigate to the designated page and complete the transaction details. Towards the bottom of the dialogue form, locate the Schedule
dropdown menu. Choose the Recurring
option to reveal additional settings such as Frequency
and End date
.
The Frequency
setting allows you to specify how often the transaction will recur. Options include Daily
, Weekly
, Monthly
, or Yearly
. For instance, if you want the transaction to repeat every 5 days, input 5
and select the Day
option.
The End date
setting enables you to determine when the recurring transactions will cease. You have the choice of Never
, Until
, or Times
.
Selecting Never
will ensure the transaction repeats indefinitely. Opting for Until
allows you to specify a termination date. Choosing Times
permits you to specify the number of repetitions. For example, if you want the transaction to occur 5 times, input 5
and select the Times
option.
You should know!
Once a transaction schedule is established, it cannot be altered. Should the need arise to modify the schedule, you must delete any upcoming transactions and recreate one with the updated schedule.
